So this weekend was fun. We did a new ToonHeadz Drawing. Nerdy Harry
I also did an abstract looking drawing:
It was my first time filling a whole face with cross-hatching. It was fun and a good lesson to be learned. I used brush pens, a .05 nib pen, water color, and marker. The lettering I just printed and taped. I did it on livestream but for some reason no one could view it. If anyone knows a better way so I can do live, please email me: thetoonheadz@yahoo.com
I also did a sketch today and used color.
Hope you guys keep on checking back with us every week. Thanks. -AJ
So Today was like any other. I've been really sketching a lot more latley. I just bought Stephen Silver's Art Book and it really inspired me to fill up my sketch book. These sketches and drawings are just amazing. I think anyone wanting to get into being inspired by cartoon/caricature art should really buy this, its a great book.
Here are some sketches that I have done this week:
We also got another ToonHeadz Drawing uploaded, Crazy Ol' Coot:
Me and Mike decided to have a little camera down at the bottom so it will be a speed drawing with a little video podcast mix. We enjoy doing it because it is a whole lot easier to edit with just a voice over. We try to keep it clean with the language when we both have potty mouths, so restarting over and over again on the voice-over was a pain in the @$$.
I also got another tutorial uploaded. I feel like it didn't cover everything I felt necessary to draw the mouth, so I am probably going to make another one. One person in the comment section requested I do a 3/4's angle, so I think I am going to cover the Mouth like I covered the eyes. By using the little circle theory for construction.
Heres the Tutorial for the Mouth:
Another thing we are doing is LiveStream. So you should really drop in. I am going to try to do it every day around 7:00 pm ( Eastern Time ) Just come in there and chat with me, I'll try to answer any question you have. I will draw requests and give some lessons if need be.
So This Was An Exciting Experience. WashedupTv and TheToonHeadz do a mashup of a caricature of Edward Cullen. AJ Draws and Inks It, Then Mails It Over To NB Carlo ( Famously Known For WashedupTv) Who In Turns Paints The Drawing. This was very fun and it turned out to be a great caricature.
New videos are uploading right now. Hopefully they will turn out alright. I feel like there isn't a lot that I can cover with teaching someone how to draw Eyes, but hopefully others will find it useful. I hope that these videos will get some people off their but to go practice drawing. I want people to see the enjoyment in drawing and actually get into it. It is such an incredible world once you can actually say, " Oh that looks cool. I want to draw that." It's great to actually have that experience and I hope that I can give someone that feeling just by inspiring them to try it.
Anyways here are some sketches that I did this week.
